You saw this coming - SILKY GOMBOY 240 SAW

It seems that there is nothing quite as handy as a pack-able saw  when you are out and about in the woods. On a bike, skis, or even walking.   Making quick work of a wooden obstacle is lovely.   Doing with so with comfort and ease is even better.

Enter the Silky Gomboy (the middle of the size run for the myriad of options you can get from Silky). It comes with a great clear flip lock case that keeps it from interacting negatively with anything else in your pack,  features high carbon Japanese steel, a comfy grippable rubber handle and 2 locking positions for the blade.  Japanese steel saw blades have a good reputation with us, having used many a wood working saw that perform beyond expectation.  Strong and springy without taking bends and staying sharp for a long time.

Our Gomboy came with the medium tooth option on the replaceable blade that provides a nice balance of cutting performance for both green and dry wood.

So far this saw has been put to work doing bike trail maintenance and a bit of around the yard trimming.  It has performed admirably with a solid bite and quick cutting action.  We have found this saw works well with wood up to 6 inches in diameter.   Larger logs start to make it feel like work.

At .8 lbs with the case it is an easy choice to bring it along on your next adventure to help you clear the path or cut the firewood.
